TOUR INTRODUCTION:

The South Coast of NSW is rich with interesting rocky coastline, lush hills of farmland and rainforest, and coastal communities with a slow pleasant pace of life. It stretches south of The Royal National Park all the way down to the Victorian state border, a mere 500 kilometres south of Sydney. Our tours don’t extend this far but highlight the areas around Wollongong and Kiama and as far south as Nowra and Cape Jervis for whale and dolphin watching.

Our Private South Coast Tour is recommended to get away from busy city life and the more popular sightseeing areas and see life as a local in a couple of small communities sandwiched between the mountains and coast. Be amazed at the gushing blowholes and mystical rainforests all whilst meeting the local farmer at the bakery or patting the school dog.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Escape south of Sydney on sea cliff roads overlooking rocky islands, surfside towns and bright green hinterland.

  • Watch paragliders sail over blue azure ocean at Bald Hill and the sea side village Stanwell Park.

  • Drive the famous Sea Cliff Bridge that dangles and snakes its way over the Pacific Ocean.

  • Walk along unspoilt sandy beaches at Sharkies or Austinmer Beach and meet the barista at one of the cafes in Thirroul or Bulli.

  • Visit the Killalea State Park - a surf break attracting a pilgrimage of surf talent from afar.

  • Walk a section of the cliff skirting Kiama Coast Walk at Minamurra with views of the pumping waves, Minnamurra River and Stack Island.

  • Shop for trinkets, antiques or collectables in the Kiama Terrace Houses originally built for the rock miners in the 1880’s.

  • Feed and pat friendly horses along windy country roads overlooking the entire coast.

  • Walk around Saddleback Mountain for inspiring views north to Wollongong and south to Seven Mile National Park searching for a wild wallaby or two.

  • Wind your way though dairy country pausing as Holstein Friesian cows cross the road on their journey to the milking shed.

  • See the Minnamurra Falls on a beautiful walk and hear its thunderous roar.
